Yup, looks like the whole cast have decided to stay on - how could they not?! Cheers for the heads up, Alison. So how is Richard feeling about being a part of the show?

He's thrilled, really looking forward to it. He doesn't quite know what he's let himself in for, though - he hasn't seen the show yet. I think he's going to while it's in London.
I know Matt, Suzanne and Shona are all leaving, fairly sure Kay is. Kevin is supposedly moving up to full-time Phantom, and there's a new female Phantom coming in. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine (and his - he tells me to let him know if I find out any more cast info lol).
I'm seeing the show in Nottingham (both shows Friday and Saturday) and really looking forward to it. I loved it last time, it's going to be even more fun now with Rich involved.

Oh dear - a Rocky virgin IN Rocky Sounds as if he has the enthusiasm for it, lets just see how he feels after a few heckles from the audience... Just kidding: I'm sure he'll be fantastic. Hehe, when I said the whole cast were staying on, I meant for the West End run; should have made that clearer. Thanks for the scoop on the cast for the rest of the tour though - shame about Shona - will it be Claire or Sarah taking over as Magenta, or someone new? (Can't remember which of them is Shona's understudy :S) Although she's had a lot of criticism, I do think that Suzanne was (and is!) a great Janet; her voice really surprised me... I was expecting some sort of Hear Say vibe... so she will be missed. Where did you see Rocky last time? Glad you enjoyed it, and have fun in Nottingham!

To be honest, I haven't a clue who's taking over as Magenta (I know Claire and Sarah are both listed as u/s in the program, and one of my friends has seen Sarah in the role, if that helps). If I remember, I'll ask him if they were auditioning for Magenta or not.
I saw the tour when it was in Edinburgh. I haven't actually seen Suzanne - it was her week off. I saw Sarah as Janet. I was kind of hoping she might get the role full time, she was really good, but it sounds like they're bringing in someone new. Which is fine, seeing new cast members is always fun. Although I suspect the next time I see the show I'm only going to have eyes for one person, the rest will have to wait lol

Well, I saw Rocky tonight, and was totally blown away, as usual! Shona White has gone off to be the new Elphaba standby in Wicked, so Claire Parrish is the new Magenta. She's fantastic; I've actually seen her 4/5 times in the role, and prefer her interpretation by a long shot compared to Shona's. Suzanne Shaw was off, as was Iain Davey, and were covered by Sarah Boulton and Stuart Ellis - both were also brilliant! All of the understudies for this cast are totally dedicated - not one of them ever gives a half hearted performance. Brian Capron was narrator, and he was great. Very articulate and speaks incredibly clearly. There were very few shoutouts as the audience were obviously not regulars - I didn't see any people in costume and no one was particularly rowdy, so it fell to me to do most of the callouts. Brian C seemed to be quite grateful - he encouraged the audience participation and had obviously prepared some replies; for example he waited for a long time to say "forbidden fruits" in the line "And they had both tasted...." He said, "Well I've got 'forbidden fruit' written here, but...?", waiting for someone to say "Frank's cock!" (I obliged willingly ) It was good seeing the show without the usual drunk loudmouths messing things up - gives the whole thing a different perspective. David was wonderful as usual, and saw me in the audience again... Just before the Time Warp reprise, after the bows and charity speech, he came to the front right of the stage near where we were sitting (in Row A) , bent down and gestured for me to come over and say hello, which was lovely. When's everyone else next seeing it?

Wooo, glad the London run is off to such a good start. I've seen Sarah as Janet - it was Suzanne's week off when the tour was in Edinburgh, thought she was excellent. We had Brian as the Narrator too, he was hilarious.
Quick question for you, Tania. I think Rich said one of his friends is one of the new Phantoms and that she was starting this week (I assumed he meant she was replacing Claire since she's now Magenta) - is that right, or is Lauren in Claire's track for now?

Ermm, there was definitely a new Phantom on with Lynden and Kevin (since as you mentioned, Claire is now Magenta, and Sarah was on as Janet), I think her name was Lauren Appleby? I didn't buy a programme as I already have 3, but my Rocky virgin friend did, and I'm pretty sure that there was also another female understudy Phantom/Swing listed, if I remember correctly her name was Erin something... It was probaby Lauren on though, seeing as Erin is an understudy. Hope this helps!

Yeah, Erin, that's her, I knew I'd recognise the name if I heard it. Lauren's been the female swing on tour for a while - I'm guessing from what you said that she's now taken Claire's place as a Phantom and Erin has taken Lauren's place as swing. This time in 6 weeks I'll be sitting in the Theatre Royal in Nottingham watching the new cast for the third time.

Tania you are obsessed by David (hence in the amount of times u have seen him, i dont stalk the actors grow up the lot of u and think before u fucking judge me OMG, it's Cla Ire... arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! And how am I the only mature person on this board, Sarah?! I merely stood up for you, because it looked like you were being bullied... although, I must say, when I heard the full story, I realised that I should have kept my nose out!! I rarely post on this board, so to say I'm the only mature one really is a rather daft comment... it's only because I stood up for you that you're saying that. Yes, there is freedom of speech on these boards but abusiveness & hurtful remarks will not be tolerated. I'm sorry Sarah, but as Tania is one of my best friends, I will not have you slagging her off. Tania enjoys ROCKY... it's not just because David is in it. If enjoying a performers work, thinking they're sexy & wanting to have the ODD photograph with them and a little chat EVERY FEW MONTHS means Tania's obsessed... then lock me up cos SO AM I!!!! There are SO MANY things wrong with your remark that I don't even know where to start. How DARE you JUDGE Tania (as being obsessed) when you hate being judged yourself - HYPOCRITE!!!! I'm sorry love, but all you ever seem to do on this board is: make trouble/ nasty comments, drone on & on about Dean Hussain & make out like Dean is better as Satan than David... erm, THIS IS A DAVID MESSAGE BOARD & David CREATED the character so everything Dean is doing as Satan, it's BECAUSE of David!!! Grrrrrrrr - I'm gonna go now before I REALLY lose my temper!!
